Clothes Peg Ice Breaker
The Clothes Peg game is a great ice breaker. At most baby showers,
you'll find an interesting mix of people who don't know each other. So
an ice breaker game is a great one to start with.
To play this game you will need at least two pegs per guest. As each
person arrives you should welcome them and give them two pegs, and tell
them that they need to peg them anywhere on their clothes.
Once everyone has arrived you would introduce yourself, and then
explain how the game works.
The aim of the game is to be the person with the MOST pegs.
You can take a peg off someone if they say a particular word. In most
cases, the word "baby" is a great taboo word - it's virtually impossible
not to say "baby" at a baby shower! If someone says the word baby, one
peg only can be taken off that person. The person who takes the peg then
pegs it to their own clothes. Whoever is the quickest to grab the peg,
gets the peg.
It can be quite a hilarious game to play. People will be wary at
first, but after a while they will forget! Towards the end of the baby
shower, the winner should be announced- just see who has the most
clothes pegs on their clothes!
