Baby Shower Games No.2
Pin the baby on the belly
This game is derived from the Pin-The-Tail-On-The-Donkey traditional
children's game. You might need a little bit of artistic merit to
actually prepare, but hopefully you'll be able to manage.
To play this game you need:
- a blindfold
- a cutout drawing/picture of a baby
- a big hand-drawn poster of a pregnant mum! (side profile is probably
easier), with a pencil outline of the cutout baby in the womb. Use a large sheet
of butcher paper, or two pieces of large cardboard stuck together.
- blue tack
Stick the poster up on a wall - preferably one that is quite large
without any door frames, or things in the way. Each person at the party
is to take a turn. You can choose volunteers, go by age, or go by who
has the oldest child etc - to go first. Blindfold the first person, give
them the baby cutout (with blue tack on the back), take them close to
the poster and spin them five times. They then a couple of seconds to
stick the baby on the poster.
Trace around the baby with a felt tip pen/crayon, and write the
person's initials next to the outline. Peel off the baby cutout, and see
how close the baby is to the pencil outline. Continue with the next
person etc. The person who has the closest match to the baby-in-the-womb
wins!!!
